Lidl is considering opening its first store in Hadleigh – and the community have been invited to give their thoughts.
The budget supermarket chain has proposed the development for a site in Ipswich Road and would create about 40 jobs.
In the lead up, it has invited the community to leave comments on draft plans for the store.
Andrew Hodgkinson, Lidl GB’s regional head of property, said it was seeking local feedback on the ‘exciting’ plans.
Residents should already have received a leaflet with a response card, although feedback can also be delivered online using this link.
He said: “The store would provide the community with greater access to our high-quality products at the best value, while creating new jobs for local people. We hope as many residents as possible contribute to the public consultation to ensure their voices are heard.”
The new store would have all the features of a typical Lidl supermarket, such as a bakery.
There would also be 115 parking spaces, toilets with baby changing facilities, and electric vehicle charging points.
Planned opening hours would be 8am to 10pm, Monday through Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
