Hadleigh care home to convert rooms

Hadleigh care home to convert rooms for eight extra beds

Plans have been approved for a care home to convert rooms into space for eight new beds to meet demand.

Magdalen House Care Home in Hadleigh applied to Babergh District Council in July for planning permission, which was granted last week.

The care home states that the additional space for patients will be warmly welcomed as the demand in Suffolk for high quality care grows.

Plans detail that predominantly only internal alterations will be made to create two new bedrooms with one window being changed into a door.

The area that will be converted is Magdalen House’s day centre which currently offers short-term day care.

Magdalen House Care Home is a 53-bed residential care home that was purpose-built in 2012 and is owned by Allegra Care who manage care homes across the UK.
